School-Age Gymnastics (ages 6-18)

Owner Patti Komara has been asked to speak every year since 1981 at national seminars on her methods for teaching children.  Her curriculum for preschool and school age children have been made into more than three books and sold to gyms all across the U.S. and 15 foreign countries.  Children ages six and older participate on bars, beam, tumbling, trampoline, and Tumbl Trak.  There are classes for boys and girls named by age groups such as:  Jr. Gymnastics  (6 and 7 year olds) and School Age Gymnastics (8 and older) grouped as Beginners, Intermediates, Advanced, Elite and Boys Tumbling and Trampoline.  Gymnastics is a confidence-building sport that improves strength, flexibility, agility, and coordination.  It’s the best activity for developing skills for all other sports.

Your daughter or son will learn skills on our spring floor,  uneven bars, balance beam, Tumbl Trak, and trampoline.  Gymnastics is an excellent activity as a preparation for all other sports.  Thousands of girls and boys have taken gymnastics at Patti’s and gone on to college and professional sports.

  • “I like that kids can advance at there own pace, and that the classes are small.” . . . Judy Carnes
  • “Your staff is very professional as well as considerate of each child’s needs. I also appreciate your organization…many businesses could learn a lot from you!” . . . Patti Jabaay
  • “Patience and encouragement that increases the student self-esteem.” . . . LaNissa Spear Jones
  • “I think the year-end gymnastics meet where the students are awarded ribbons and trophies is so wonderful. They are each recognized and I think it builds up their self-esteem and confidence. It also gives them the “want” to continue. I think the classes here help students to want to take care of their bodies and to also respect other students.” . . . Fabienne Lent
  • “I like that I see every child is treated like a star. If they need a push, it is done tactfully, respectfully and based on ability. . . Michelle DeYoung
